Error generating return labels off of FedEx orders

I am getting an error trying to generate return labels for FedEx orders - The error is "Cannot explicitly load property for entities that are detached. Objects loaded using the NoTracking merge option are always detached"

This is the error I am receiving. Has anyone experienced this error or know what is going on.

Hi there, I am new to the shipstation world and I am looking at my FedEx bill and the prices that shipstation gives me as the total cost does not match up to my FedEx invoice? Is this normal ? Should I be contacting my FedEx rep? Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I would like any new order coming in under our standard shipping to have either UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail automatically applied as the shipping method, depending on which is the cheapest to the delivery address. Is there a way to do this?

Creating Labels With Packing Slips

When I create a test label using the API, it comes with a packing slip in it, but when I create an actual label, there is no packing slip.

It looks like it's possible to include the packing slip with the actual label since it's there in the test label.

Can there be an extra optional field added that gives the option for people to include the packing slip with the label?

Can you edit/alter Item(s) ordered and the options on an order?

Sometimes we will have a customer who decides they want to change a color or size choice after they have already ordered. At this point, we're just relying on our memory or making an internal note to remember the change they want to make as there doesn't seem to be a way to alter Items Ordered like there is for editing a customer address after the fact. Am I wrong and perhaps there is a way to do this, or is this something SS might be considering implementing? It would be a lot easier than trying to remember or, worse yet, having to cancel the customer's order (which is a myriad of steps) so they could reorder with the options they want.

This also comes into play when a customer orders, say, three of an item and then decides they only want two. We can refund for the extra item, but then there's no way to change the quantity in their SS order, so we're once again left to using internal notes as our only reminder.

Constantly have to "reinstall" ShipStation Connect to print

I recently started using Connect because I got tired of having to allow SyncStation to work with Chrome.

Unfortunately I have to reinstall Connect once or twice a day because it seems to lose connection with my printer. It gives me a "previously saved printer is not available" warning and the only fix I've found is to reinstall.

Getting pretty old.

Removing Multiple Items from Inventory?

Howdy,

I'm currently using ShipStation to track all the purchases made on a ClickFunnels account. I'm using the Inventory Tracking, and here's my question: Can I have one item order trigger a condition to remove multiple items from the inventory? Example: I'm selling a CD on the ClickFunnels page. One of the One-Time-Offers I present is the ability to order three more CDs at a heavily discounted price. So, transactionally, it only counts as two items ordered for ClickFunnels, and it sends the two SKUs to ShipStation just fine. (SIGNEDCD and TCT3CD) But when processing the labels, it only removes two items from inventory instead of four, and I'm forced to go in and remove the items from inventory by hand. Any thoughts on how to make this process automatic?

Orders being marked as shipped when a label is printed via API?

Hello all,
I'm currently using the API to produce labels (and packing slips) via calls to 'ssapi.shipstation.com/orders?orderstatus=awaiting_shipment', 'ssapi.shipstation.com/orders/createlabelfororder', and ssapi.shipstation.com/orders/X'. This works 100% correctly, but my script was coming back with a 500 Internal Server Error when I ran 'ssapi.shipstation.com/orders/markasshipped' on each order after it printed the label and slip. My intention was to send the customer email notification and change the status from awaiting_shipment to shipped.

Imagine my surprise when I logged in and discovered that orders were being marked as shipped (or at least ending up in the shipped bucket) withjust running the above call to produce a shipping label. That's not really a problem in terms of getting them into the correct bucket but of course the customers aren't being notified. Is there an API call to do that, or am I misunderstanding the process or the order I should be doing these steps in?

Automated Email for Split Orders

I would like to send an email automatically to my customers when I split their orders. I created the email template, and then setup a rule to detect the "-" in order number, but that isn't working. The email doesn't get sent. Any ideas?

automation rule doesn't have invalid address

I am starting to use automation rule to push orders to amazon multi-channel fulfillment. My rule include the condition that only verified address will go through. Today I saw an order with invalid address and it still went through. But in the drop down choice of "address verified" "equals" only has 3 choices - verified, warning, error. Also there is no "not equal", only unknown so I cannot say that if there is a problem with the address than don't push it to FBA MCF. Please help.

The plan I chose it Platinum, it should ahve Live Chat Support. But when I login my accont, there is no Live Chat. What I need to do to have this option.

Automatic Label Cancellation

Hi,

I predominantly use USPS Priority Mail to ship my products and find that some of my customers request a return or an exchange but never send the product, perhaps because they changed their mind. Sometimes we manually go in and cancel the labels after a certain period of time but this is quite frustrating and can often go overlooked.

Is there a way to automatically cancel USPS labels after a certain period of time?

What about for FedEx or UPS?

Any other suggestions are also welcome.

Express 1 - Priority Mail Express Shipping Receipt

We recently have had a few cases where USPS has not delivered Priority Mail Express Packages within the guaranteed time. The local PO will not refund shipping without an exact amount paid online. Unfortunately, just reprinting the label will not work since the label says "US postage and fee paid" and does not give a dollar amount. I have tried overriding this option on an order specific basis, but this doesn't work after the original label was printed. Can you tell me how i can print an "official" receipt that shows postage paid and the tracking number for Priority Mail Express shipped via Express 1.

Updating an order with a custom package via the API

I'm trying to use the API (via https://github.com/JustMaier/node-shipstation) to update an order with a custom package We're using FedEx for shipping. I can't see how to get the ID of the custom package so I can set the packageCode on the order. If I manually set the package via the Web Dashboard and then get the order via the API, the packageCode is null.

Any help would be very gratefully received.

USPS Customs Form Integration for US Territories

I live in the US Virgin Islands, so I ship with USPS. For the most part shipping from a US territory is the same as using USPS to ship within the continental US, except that we have to include a customs form on every shipment. The customs form is integrated in all international USPS shipping labels with ShipStation, but not for packages going to or from a US territory. It is possible, as Etsy's update earlier in the year integrated the form into our labels. It would be awesome if this integration could be added to ShipStation! Is this something that may be on the horizon?

I LOVE ShipStation. I was so happy to finally find my solution for shipping from my website and Etsy shop (after much searching). Unfortunately, I will have to cancel my account since I cannot use the labels without hand writing customs forms - and I ship far too many packages to spend time doing that.

Can't Print shipping labels!

Hey Everyone, I just signed up on ShipStation and imported about 400 orders, awesome. Now if I could just ship them! I have spent HOURS(awesome no chat on the weekends) trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
I am set up with stamps.com, but on every order I get the following error message when trying to get rates "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Attached is a screenshot. Can anyone help me out please?

Shipstation -> Magento connection consistently not working (500 error)

Hello.

I've had this problem with getting our Shipstation store to connect with Magento pretty much since day one.

Basically, every so often, the connection returns a 500 error. Sometimes it clears itself out after several failed update attempts, but lately I've had to reach out to Shipstation support and have them reset our refresh time and date.

Typically, the parameters for this happening have been based on traffic to our website. If we're running a large promotion, it is likely that the connection will break. When we get this error, orders kind of keep piling up in the queue until there is too much data for Shipstation to bring in.

Lately, however, the error has been occurring on a daily basis. We have made zero changes to our Magento back end, so troubleshooting is a bit of a conundrum.

Shipstation support keeps insisting that the problem is on our end, but for the past year has offered little in the way of support beyond that. They finally offered a conference call, but we are between web developers so there's going to be even further delay there. Senior support went onto explain that the problem is our plugin is returning HTML data instead of XML. What I don't understand is how the plugin is successfully returning XML data all day... up until a certain point where it doesn't.

Anyway, my question to the forum is: has anyone experienced similar problems? We are running Magento V1 and I don't know much beyond that. I would appreciate any insight into this matter. It has become very aggravating and I'm starting to shop around for a better solution.

Shipstation won't load/login?

Hello, I've been having this problem on-and-off for a few months. Seems to happen at least once or twice a month.

I try to log into shipstation and it simply does not load. The green loading gear keeps spinning forever.

Not sure why this happens or how it resolves itself just to happen again. I checked our security and content settings and everything is fine there. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this? Really need to get into Shipstation today.

Custom field #2 #3..

Right now, i am using custom field #1 to auto import an abbreviation from "title" eg... if contains word water add custom field #1 "water"

But i also created a #2 automation and a #3 automation... "if quantity =2 " add "custom field #2 for quantity. and so forth. I limit it to 3, since i will edit manually if anyone buys 4 or more. Even in the shipping field it shows up custom field #1 "water" and then custom field #3 " 3 "

But when printed it doesn't print onto the label, just "water" is on it. I am using USPS
