BigCommerce 500% price increase, need new cart provider

Hello everyone, I've been with BigCommerce for 4 years and ShipStation for 2. BigCommerce just quietly announced they are changing their pricing structure next year based on both revenue and volume which is raising our rate by 530%!

Needless to say I need to find a new cart provider. Can anyone currently running stores (not cart salespeople) make any recommendations?

My store sells to both retail and wholesale customers with product pricing based on customer groups, so that is an important feature I need to retain. My store is also integrated with ShipStation for obvious reasons, and other integrations include Paypal with checkout available on my website. I stock approx 100 products. I have been in business many years and in the past used CubeCart, OpenCart, osCommerce, and Fortune 3, before moving to BigCommerce.

Delayed shipment notifications not actually going through.

For our business, it would be very profitable if we had delayed shipment notifications that worked. In the past, we did it because in case if we had to cancel one of our customer orders for whatever reason (no inventory, back order, etc...) we suspend the shipement without the customer getting notified that their order was shipped. As of right now, they get notified once the shipping label is created. When we had the delayed shipment option set to "once the mail hits the mail stream" it was very hit and miss. The problem with Amazon is every time we have an order that is shipped late, our metrics go down. We predominately ship using the Post Office, and once our Post man comes and picks up our orders, he scans in the orders into the system. For some reason, it doesn't work all of the time. Is there something that I am missing, or is this a bug on Shipstation's side? I would like to think that there is something I am missing. Any help would be good. Thanks.

Not too sure if this is really a feature request, but maybe.

We ship items that ship in their own boxes, so we do multiple packages per order. When the labels are created, ShipStation only sends over a single tracking number to BigCommerce, which when the customer logs in to see their order details, shows only a single tracking number for multiple items. This obviously is not the case - heck, in most cases, that tracking number is not even the MASTER Tracking Number (More of an issue for FedEx then it is for UPS though). It's not uncommon for a customer to have anywhere from 2 to 6 or more packages when their order ships with us.

Is it possible (Without splitting the order) to transmit ALL of the orders tracking numbers over to BigCommerce? BC does support multiple tracking information - for example, you can split an order in SS and it will create the Order Number 1234 and then all subsequent orders 1234-1, 1234-2, 1234-3 and so on and this will pass on to BC with seperate tracking for each item....

The issue with this is the rates are more because this is now not a MPS (Multi Package Shipment) which we get significant FedEx/UPS discounts for using, instead of splitting the order into individual shipments. I just tested this with a single order of 6 items, and the cost savings for us was almost $50 between a single order MPS vs. Splitting the order up into 6 total orders.

It seems easy enough to me to implement - really sounds like an API Call adjustment between the two. SS just needs to know that when a SS order has MPS, to transmit all tracking numbers instead of just a random one from the MPS.

Trying to enable new Stamps.com scale

Hello! I've been trying, for days now, to enable our new scale on ShipStation to no avail. We have tried all usual ways of doing it - installing ship connect; making sure the device is recognized, etc. Nothing works.
We need to get the show on the road here this is slowing us down quite a bit. can you please help? Maybe we need a driver or something? (this scale is from stamps.com and supposed to work) Thanks for your help!

For the last few days, I've been trying to update product listing in Shipstation with the addition of a warehouselocation. I've done this plenty of times before without a problem.

Printing First Class postage on an envelope

Hi all,

I searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer. How can I print on a regular size envelope (#10)? ShipStation gives me a formatted envelope with address, return address and postage - but it always wants to print as 4x6! It prints out looking awful - all centered in the middle of the envelope with a few inches of blank space on either side. I tried changing the settings, but it's either 4x6 or 8.5x11, and 8.5x11 doesn't work at all.

Any ideas? Thank you!

Amazon orders-shipping update

How long should it take for an Amazon order to be updated with the tracking number and shipment date? I thought it should be immediate, but it is not. Its been an hour.

I get the error One or more of these packages have already been scanned by USPS. I select 3 of them that for sure haven't been scanned but it still gives me this error

Anyone have a way to automate this...

I'm extraordinarily sick of seeing this error. This does nothing to help streamline or increase efficiency in our warehouse. This adds time to an already timely shipping process.

The Problem:
The weight of the package as estimated in our system is estimated incorrectly. Therefore, the service imported into Shipstation is incorrect. In this case, the package was overweight for DHL GM Parcel Ground. The manual workaround is, we select the "service" drop down (click 1) select the appropriate service "DHL GM Parcel Plus Ground" (Click 2) then have to wait for Shipstation to refresh.

This also happens in the reverse, where the weight is too low to trigger the imported service and we have to manually switch from Parcel Plus Ground to Parcel Ground.

Possible Solution:
Automated/Customized error handling would be preferred. When this issue occurs, the best case scenario would be for Shipstation to automatically switch the service type.


Yes, getting better weight would help. We are in the process. However, this will never work completely as we have access to but do not stock up to 60,000 skus.

Choxi Late Payments

Hello. We have been selling on Choxi for 2 years and have been happy with the relationship. Over the past 3 months their payments are farther and farther behind. Currently they have invoices that are 60 days old (30 days past due). Has anybody been struggling with them to get answers? I greatly appreciate it!

FBA shipments not updating tracking? anyone else with same experience?

Copy of my ticket;
I have some items that I send from Shipstation to FBA
I expect when they Amazon Ships them they will be automatically marked as shipped on Shipstation and confirmed on Amazon.
However I find that most of the time they do not.
I don't know if the problem is in Shipstation or how the files are uploaded or what?
I never have this problem with eBay orders that are sent to FBA
I just got a warning from Amazon on one of my accounts that it is in "Poor status"
because of late shipments.
this is mostly because Shipstation did not upload the tracking .
the tracking posts in the "shipments" page and I have to copy & paste them one by one.
Is this just me or a system wide fail?
or is it Amazon's fault somehow?

Cheaper USPS rate by eBay Shipping.

I've using ShipStation for long time and recently find out there is better USPS rate available from eBay Shipping if the customer is zone 4 or closer.
For example, a 12x12x12 size 10 lb package ship to zone 4 will cost us over $9, but eBay shipping is only cost a little over $7,
I'm wondering if Shipstation (or Stamps.com) will match the same rate.

In previous apps I have used to create labels, there is an option to change the zip code you are shipping from without changing your return address. I can't seem to find a way to do this in Ship Station. I sometimes bring inventory with me when I travel and drop off at USPS post offices along the way. Without a correct "ship from" zip code, the postage will be incorrect. Creating new warehouse will not work, because I don't want to change the zip code in my return address -- only the zip code for the USPS post office where the packages will be delivered. Am I missing this feature in ShipStation?

Inventory Management! Which one is right for my business?

At the moment i am using the cloud cart connector to synchronize between shipstation and quickbooks online. Shipstation imports all my orders from (ebay, amazon, shopify, and many more platforms). Works great i am very happy with it. Now i am looking to find an inventory management system to fulfill all of my needs without having to re-import all of my products and orders that are already integrated with shipstation. While shipstation is working on an inventory control system, i need a temporary solution that does not offer shipping management. I love shipstation and will never need another shipping management system as long as they live! Bottom line: please help me find a simple inventory system that integrates and pulls data from shipstation that does not have a shipping management feature!

Manual edits to order shipping address are override by marketplace. Unlock/lock button is gone.

Usually there is an option after an order shipping address is manually edited to prevent the marketplace from overriding these changes. Over the last week, this option is randomly missing (sometimes there, sometimes not there, sometimes there and not working). We recently edited about 20 order and all changes reverted back. The only way to edit orders is the make the updates directly before shipping.

Please fix this...

Importing into QuickBooks Solution using EZInvoice

Hey Everyone,

I've seen a lot of post about Importing Sales into QB. I had this issue for months.

I tried Direct Connect and Web Connect, etc. I found those very complicated and I couldn't seem to manipulate them before importing (i.e. special orders). When the staff set up Direct Connect, it was very fast and I truly had know idea what was happening or going on. I wasn't impressed. There was a lot of Cons..

I contacted EZInvoice about using ShipStation and importing sales orders to QB as receipts. EZInvoice customized the importing to my exact needs and how I wanted it to look. I can change any order before it imports. I can import daily, weekly or Monthly. Truly amazing and simple. It'll take my orders from anything in Shipstation (ie Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, etc) and import them. There was a 1 time set up fee and the annual yearly rate which is cheaper than Direct Connect / Web Connect.

I do an average of 30 sales a day and the time it took to manually put into QB was roughly an hour (copy & Paste, etc.). Using EZInvoice took a couple of minutes.

I thought I'd pass this information along for everyone who was struggling like I was..

Why is the UPS: Nullable object must have a value. suddenly happening for MPS orders? The only way to get around it is to enter an extra dimension into the order screen (Outside of the MPS Popup) - And according to UPS this is causing incorrect returned rates to be shown?

would like to see exportable shipping report that allows filtering by warehouse. We have 10 warehouses and it would be helpful to see who is doing what to ensure that our stock for those warehouses measures accordingly. Thank you

Hello! We have been using Shipstation for over a year now and love it every day. My new cost savings idea is to switch to Shipsurance for UPS packages. Currently they are our exclusive insurance provider for all USPS shipments, and overall I have been happy.I just have to ensure the boss and our customers that this change will be worth it in the end. Anyone have feedback one way or the other? The cost savings alone are great as we ship over 100 packages a day. Thanks!
