Setting up shipstation so inventory deducts automatically

Hi,

I was under the impression that we can set up our inventory so that when an order is processed it deducts the quantity from the inventory we have for that product in Shipstation. We have our inventory levels inputted with the correlating sku's, however, inventory is not being deducted when orders are processed. Any suggestions?
