We sometimes need to cancel a shipping label. Oddly, Stamps.com only reimburses us for about a third of the requested label refunds - claiming that USPS has detected that the label has been scanned into their system. None of these labels leave the building, nor are they even affixed to packages.
It seems silly to worry about $3, but if it happens enough times, the dollars start adding up! The USPS appeal process is so difficult, it makes me think this is just a way they make extra money.
Does anyone else have problems with this? Does anyone know of the magic formula: ie. do you have to cancel the label the same day you issued it, etc.?
